Il Davide Restaurant and Sbragia Family Vineyards Team up for an Extraordinary Winemaker Dinner

Executive Chef David Haydon and Ed Sbragia, Founder and Winemaker of Dry Creek’s Sbragia Family Vineyards, are planning an exclusive Winemaker Dinner on Monday, March 14th, 2011, at Il Davide Cucina Italiana Restaurant.
The five course dinner starts with Passed Appetizers including Smoked Salmon Rolls and Chanterelle Mushroom Bruschetta paired with 2009 Home Ranch Sauvignon Blanc. First Course is Torta di Porri, Leek Tart, served with 2009 Home Ranch Chardonnay.
The second course is Smoked Sonoma Duck Breast Carpaccio served with Sbragia’s 2007 Home Ranch Merlot, Dry Creek. Tortellini Porcine, a large tortellini filled with porcine mushrooms, black truffle cream reduction and white truffle Piedmontese salt is the third course paired with 2007 Andolesen Cabernet Sauvignon.

Fourth Course is Filletto di Manzo, Snake River Farms, Grilled “Kobe” fat iron steak with parsnip puree and “Gino’s” Zin reduction paired with 2008 Gino’s Vineyard Zinfandel.
Dessert and fifth course is a Duo of Desserts including Chocolate Pecan Ganache with rock salt and caramel sugar plus Meyer Lemon Semifreddo paired with a special surprise.

Multi-award winning Il Davide Cucina Italiana Restaurant has been a San Rafael favorite for over 15 years. Sbragia Family Vineyards, located in the Dry Creek region of Sonoma County, has a long history of excellence in winemaking. Advance reservations are recommended since seating is very limited.
