Fewer Cars On Road, Yes; Driving Ferrari At 120 mph Still A No

As locals hunker down to comply with coronavirus guidelines, one Marin-area motorist apparently forgot law enforcement still is on patrol.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — As residents stay home to comply with coronavirus mandates, traffic flow is "down to a trickle" throughout Marin County, according to the California Highway Patrol, Marin office.

"More high-speed" traffic stops, however, are more noticeable of late, officers said, adding that one in particular stands out — the stop of a Ferrari clocked at 120 mph on U.S Highway 101, south of Miller Creek Road in the San Rafael area.

"Our officers are still out on the roads doing enforcement," the agency said, "so if you’re thinking today might be the day to drive your Ferrari at 120 mph on 101, you might want to think again."
