Well aware that California faces a major skills gap, trustees understand that the jobs of today and tomorrow require postsecondary education. With over 50 percent of COM students receiving financial aid, scholarships bolster efforts to assist students who might not otherwise be able to enroll.

Interested students are encouraged to complete the qualification steps and submit their application early. The deadline to apply is June 1. Scholarship recipients must then enroll at COM by August 1, 2016. Recipients will still be responsible for books and applicable course material fees, but may be eligible for additional aid to cover these expenses. Questions about the scholarship should be directed to the Outreach and School Relations Office.
