Possible Gang-Related Stabbing: 5 Arrested, 1 Injured In San Rafael
Five men ages 18 to 23 were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, participation in a criminal street gang and conspiracy.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Five men were arrested after a man was injured in a possible gang-related stabbing Wednesday evening in San Rafael, authorities said.
The San Rafael Police Department responded to a report of a fight shortly before 6:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police said a witness reported the subjects were armed with knives and one person had been stabbed.
The suspects had already fled the scene when officers arrived and found the victim, a 23 year-old male from San Rafael, with a stab wound to his lower back, according to officials. He was transported to Marin General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses told officers that five suspects drove up to the victim in a silver Mercedes sedan, according to police. Four suspects reportedly got out of the vehicle and approached the victim and his friend. One suspect allegedly stabbed the victim before all of the parties began fighting. The suspects ran back to their car and fled southbound on Lincoln Avenue.
According to police, a patrol officer spotted a car matching the description of the suspect vehicle around 6:45 p.m. in the area of Windward Way. When the officer approached the parked car, two of the five suspects started running from the scene. He detained the three remaining suspects. Another officer found and detained the other two suspects.

Witnesses to the attack positively identified the suspects as the people they saw during the assault, according to police. Dixon Hernandez Gonzalez, 19, of San Rafael; Santiago Hernandez Lopez, 21, of San Rafael; Jefferson Lopez, 18, of Corte Madera; Brian Rodas Gramajo, 23, of San Rafael and Brian Silin, 19, of San Rafael were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, participation in a criminal street gang and conspiracy. There were booked into Marin County Jail.
Police believe the incident was gang related.
