
San Rafael real estate sales slipped in July to 33 transactions compared to 45 in June. The entry-level price range, less than $600,000, remains strong. Of these, 24, or 40 percent, of homes are currently in escrow.
Meanwhile, the $600,000 to $800,000 price range (a mix of entry level and move-up homes) remains tepid with 22 percent of homes in escrow.
The inventory for single-family homes for sale decreased slightly this month to 177 homes. Price per square foot rose above $400.

Of the 34 homes sold in June, the average:
- days on market was 76
- sales price was $797,669
- home size was 2,028 square feet
- per square foot price was $403 per square foot.
Homes in Lucas Valley and the Dominican area generated the most calls and showings this past month.
