The beautiful, fun, joyful festival at the lagoon is in trouble. We've scrappily survived most of an economic recession, fueled by persistence, friends and a passion for celebrating Marin artists in a jubilant setting. Now, the festival has been hit with last-minute costs and urgently needs your support to put on the event in 2013. We've set a goal to raise $38,000 by June 2. You'll find the details and an explanation of the unexpected costs on our Indiegogo campaign page: 'http://igg.me/at/marin-art-fest/x/3362506'
We're proud that the festival has become one of the great Marin cultural and community events of the year, drawing 200 artists and 10,000 people in attendance. It's one of the rare opportunities for North Bay residents to discover the world-class artists living and working in our midst. But this year's June 15-16 festival is going to be canceled if we can't meet the urgent demand. Here's how you can make a crucial difference: Check out our urgent fundraising campaign at 'http://igg.me/at/marin-art-fest/x/3362506' and contribute at whatever level is right for you (there are beautiful rewards for supporters!).
Just as important! Spread the word. Please share this email with friends and colleagues who care about local arts and love to enjoy the festival's music and sun. The Marin Art Festival will only happen with your support! We hope to see you this Father's Day weekend for a beautiful festival!
Sincerely,
Tyson & the Marin Art Festival team
