Marin County government offices and libraries will be closed for Christmas and New Year's Day.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin County government offices and libraries will be closed for Christmas and New Year's Day.
Most county government offices will be closed from noon Christmas Eve through Christmas Day. Offices will reopen for regular business hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.
A week later, county government offices will be closed from noon New Year's Eve through New Year's Day. Offices will resume regular hours on Thursday, Jan. 2.

All 10 Marin County Free Library branches will be closed from 1 p.m. Christmas Eve through Christmas day. The South Novato branch in the Hamilton neighborhood will open at 10 a.m. instead of noon due to the early closure.
Same-day recordings need to be presented at the Marin County Recorder's Office in Suite 232 no later than 11:30 a.m. Dec. 31. Documents that cannot be examined and approved for recording prior to the deadline will be accepted for recording on Jan. 2, 2020, or returned to the submitter.

Transactions at the Marin County Clerk's office in Suite 234 will be accepted for processing until 11 a.m. Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The Assessor, Recorder and County Clerk offices will close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
The administrative offices will be closed at the Marin County Sheriff's Office and Marin County Fire Department, but both will be staffed during the holidays to ensure public safety and emergency services throughout Marin.
Road crews and flood control crews from the Department of Public Works will also be ready to respond to infrastructure and emergency needs. In addition, the Department of Health and Human Services will continue to have 24/7 on-call staff though the holidays for crisis and emergency response.
