Marin Expects $4.1M Each Year From State For Roads

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Marin County officials expect to receive $4.1 million a year for the next 10 years to improve roads in unincorporated areas of the county, the officials said Thursday.

The money is coming from the $54 billion in California Senate Bill 1, also known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act.

The bill, which was signed into law on April 28, has been partially implemented, which means Marin County officials expect to receive $1.36 million for road improvements in the 2017-18 fiscal year.

The Marin County Board of Supervisors is expected to vote on the authorization of the money at its meeting on Tuesday.
