Marin Women's Hall Of Fame Event Postponed Due To Coronavirus

The event was originally scheduled for March 26 to celebrate the 2020 inductees.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The Marin Women's Hall of Fame induction and dinner celebration has been postponed due to the new coronavirus outbreak, according to the YWCA San Francisco & Marin.

The announcement was made Tuesday, after Marin County public health officials recommended nonessential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people be canceled or postponed to prevent the spread of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.

"The health and safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority," the announcement said. "As of now, the event is not cancelled and we are working to find another date in the fall."

Established in 1987, the Marin Women's Hall of Fame aims to recognize the achievements of Marin women, preserve their stories, educate the public on women's contributions, and inspire future generations of women and girls. The Marin Women's Hall of Fame is a program of YWCA San Francisco & Marin.
