Not In Our Town was launched in 1995 with a PBS film that documented the heroic efforts of Billings, Montana, residents who stood up for their neighbors after a series of hate crimes. They inspired hundreds of towns and cities around the world to "Stand Up to the Hate," a mantra for the Not In Our Town initiative.
"I see all Civic Center employees as our community, and this event is meant to view ourselves through that lens," District Attorney Lori Frugoli said.

"Several members of our employee affinity groups will be sharing their experiences in our community. With recent events, both local and national, now is the time to show our support for those who are strong enough to 'Stand Up to Hate' by sharing their experiences with us."
The event will include a viewing of the documentary film and an appearance by filmmaker Patrice O'Neal.
