Police: Residential Burglaries Spike In San Rafael
These burglaries may be linked to others throughout Marin County.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Police are alerting residents to a recent increase in daytime residential burglaries in virtually every neighborhood in San Rafael.
According to the San Rafael Police Department, the burglaries, which have occurred since Jan. 18, have targeted homes during business hours when residents would be at work. Sgt. Carl Huber said the burglars have taken jewelry or other valuables and easily concealed items. The points of entry into the homes were not readily visible from the street, he said.
These burglaries may be linked to others throughout Marin County, Huber said. Police are advising San Rafael residents to be vigilant about vehicles and people they do not recognize in their neighborhoods.
