In November 2008, this Fourth Street sushi spot revamped its menu and includes one of the largest selections of traditional and unique rolls in Marin. And it's gets points for the quantity – many rolls offer half and regular sizes that are perfect for large groups and the exceptionally famished.

"Riceless rolls, occasionally created as a special, are exceptional. If they're on the menu, don't miss these," a Marin Independent Journal review said.

Coming in second place is tucked in the corner of Montecito Plaza. Gene Su and Tina Chan have been serving sushi and fine Japanese fare at this location since 1990. It offers a daily $2 Happy Hour menu from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. that includes hand rolls, yakitori, wine, beer and sake.

And third place goes to , directly across from Sushi to Dai For. Although it did not garner as many votes, it did get a following on our Facebook fan page.

Its where we go when I'm too lazy to make it at home. My kids won't eat 'Japanese' food anywhere else but at Umi or in Japan - even they can tell that Umi is the real deal.
