SAN RAFAEL, CA — With the Presidential Primary Election a week away, the Marin County Elections Department will open Saturday so residents can register and vote early.

"The response to this election has been significant, and we want to give residents more time to register and vote in the office," Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts said. "We want every vote to count."

The Elections Department will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Voters can also drop off their vote-by-mail ballot at the office in San Rafael.
