School Shooter Training Class At Marin County Sheriff's Office
The four-hour School Violence and the Active Shooter class is designed for administrators, principals, faculty and staff of K-12 schools.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – The Public Safety Training Institute is holding a free class at the Marin County Sheriff's Office on Friday on preparedness and response to an active shooter incident at schools.
The four-hour School Violence and the Active Shooter class is designed for administrators, principals, faculty, and staff of K-12 schools and college campuses. Attendees must be government or civilian staff employed within the Bay Area.
The quick actions of school personnel during a critical incident will save more lives than emergency first responders, according to the Auburn-based Public Safety Training Institute.

Attendees will receive information on the history and dynamics of school shootings, awareness, preparation and response tactics, behaviors of concern, defensive classroom mindset and law enforcement response.
The class is 8 a.m. to noon at the Marin County Sheriff's Office's Assembly Room, 1600 Los Gamos Drive, No. 200. People can register for the class at www.bauasitep.org.
