Sheriff's Jail Program Coordinator Named Marin County Employee of the Month
"She has received thank-you letters and personal visits from former inmates, thanking her for believing in them."

SAN RAFAEL, CA — An employee of the Marin County Sheriff's Office was recognized Tuesday by the Marin County Board of Supervisors for being selected as the county Employee of the Month.
Robin Blanchard, who serves as a program coordinator for the Marin County Sheriff's Office at the Marin County Jail, was described in a news release as "an outstanding employee" who "prides herself in helping others and creating good relationships with the volunteers, while maintaining a cohesive team environment."
The news release from the sheriff's office continued by saying that Blanchard is respected among the volunteers, as she takes the time to implement new ideas into inmate programming in the jail. She is also known for her positive energy and encouragement, which has helped in creating an environment that promotes confidence and other important life skills. She has received thank-you letters and personal visits from former inmates, thanking her for believing in them.

"For those inmates that there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, Robin will provide the beacon of hope," the sheriff's office stated. "Robin is dedicated to her co-workers, the volunteers and the inmates. The Marin County Sheriff's Office is proud of Robin's achievement as she demonstrates on a daily basis; Partnership. Leadership.
