Shoppers Line Up for Opening of Forever 21
Northgate's largest non-anchor store a big hit.
Shoppers lined up as early as 5 a.m. Saturday to be among the first 200 to collect a free gift card at the new Forever 21 store at the Mall at Northgate.
The 28,000-square-foot store with two levels of men's and women's trend-savvy clothing is the largest non-anchor store at the newly renovated mall and the first Forever 21 in Marin.

The gift cards ranged from $10 to $210 and printable $10 coupons were available on Northgate's Web site that are good for purchases of $40 or more made on opening day.
Carla Ochoa, 14, and Ed Abarca, 17, were the first to arrive because they were excited about the gift cards -- and the clothes.

"The clothes are nice," Ochoa said.
Kimberly Bailey arrived shortly after the store's doors openedat 10 a.m. and found herself at the back of the long line but saw that it was moving quickly. She said she used to drive all the way to Santa Rosa to shop at Forever 21.
"I like stores like Anthropologie but they are expensive," Bailey said. "You can find things of the same quality but a lot cheaper here.
