Garage Fire Knocked Down In San Rafael

The blaze broke out in the 1600 block of Lucas Valley Road, officials said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Firefighters contained a garage fire Wednesday afternoon in San Rafael.

The blaze broke out around 2:45 p.m. in a four-car detached garage at a home in the 1600 block of Lucas Valley Road, San Rafael Fire Chief Chris Gray said. The flames spread to the garage attic but not near the residence on the property, he said.

Firefighters from San Rafael, Novato and Marinwood responded to the scene.

The fire was knocked down by 3 p.m., Gray said. No injuries were reported and no other structures were threatened.
