Worker Killed In Construction Accident In San Rafael Identified
First responders arrived at the scene to find the 59-year-old San Rafael man unresponsive.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – A man killed Tuesday in a construction accident in San Rafael has been identified as 59-year-old San Juan Landaverde-Olvera, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
Landaverde-Olvera, of San Rafael, was working at a residential housing construction job site around 8:55 a.m. Tuesday in the first block of Fair Drive when plywood boards fell on top of him.
It appears he was seated on piled lumber planks that were up against the plywood boards when the boards shifted and fell on top of him, according to the sheriff's office.

First responders arrived at the scene to find Landaverde-Olvera unresponsive. He was in cardiopulmonary arrest with signs of traumatic injuries and was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
A forensic post mortem examination with toxicology testing have been scheduled for later this week.

"The Marin County Sheriff's Office and personnel of the Coroner Division offers our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Landaverde-Olvera," officials said.
