Did You Feel It? Quake Strikes East Bay
An East Bay city rocked with more than 300 earthquakes since November just experienced another one.
SAN RAMON, CA — A 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit San Ramon at 10:33 a.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was centered just west of Alcosta Boulevard and south of Montevideo Drive and had a depth of 6.7 kilometers, according to USGS. Residents in nearby cities reported feeling weak to light shaking, according to USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.
This marks the first earthquake in San Ramon in a few weeks, a welcome break after a period of more than 300 quakes from November to January. The city received so many quakes it started to make international news.
