Earthquake No. 4 Rattles San Ramon, Danville

Is this earthquake weather? If you missed the three temblors Wednesday morning, did you feel the afternoon quake?

A 2.6-magnitude earthquake hit San Ramon this afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. This quake, which is the latest in a series of tiny temblors in the East Bay Wednesday, was recorded at 3:44 p.m. A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Danville and San Ramon this morning at 8:14 a.m.

The quakes follow several other small quakes in the same area overnight, including a 2.6-magnitude quake at 3:22 a.m. and a 2.9 quake at 3:58 a.m., according to the USGS. The quakes were all on the Calaveras Fault.

A 2.5-magnitude quake struck near Fairfield Monday morning. No property damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the quakes.
