Parenting the Positive Discipline Way

On Thursday, February 12, 6:00-8:00 PM, Christine S. Tom will speak at the San Ramon Library about how parents can rear children of any age to become responsible, respectful and resourceful, using the Positive Discipline approach.
Positive Discipline is a parenting and classroom management program developed by Jane Nelsen, Ed. D., based on the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs. It has been popularized by Jane Nelsen, Lynn Lott, Cheryl Erwin and others in the best selling Positive Discipline titles geared towards the parenting of preschoolers, teenagers, and children with special needs. Positive Discipline gives parents, teachers, childcare providers and youth workers the concepts and tools they need to develop in children the important social and life skills that will help them feel connected to their families and community, and develop their self-confidence.
Presenter Christine S. Tom is a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. Ms. Tom received her B.A. in Psychology from Mills College, and her M.B.A. from California State University, East Bay.

This program is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary.
