Armed Robbery In San Ramon Leads To Police Chase, Crash (patch.com) — San Ramon residents are learning more about a violent armed robbery at the Cobblestone Apartments on Crow Canyon Road that left a victim with minor injuries and sparked a multi-city police pursuit. Officers used FLOCK cameras to track the suspects' car to Oakland, where a chase ended in a crash, a loaded firearm was recovered, and two Bay Area men were arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail.
   

2. San Ramon Fall Recreation Registration Open (patch.com) — San Ramon families can now sign up for a wide range of fall recreation programs, from sports and theater to pottery, baking, and game development. Registration is open around the clock online, with city staff available by phone and email to answer questions and help residents secure their preferred activities.

Waymo Just Took a Crucial Step Toward Self-Driving Cars in the 925 Bay Area Telegraph (bayareatelegraph.com) — San Ramon is now officially on Waymo's expanded map for future paid, driverless rides, after California regulators approved the company's passenger safety plan for much of Contra Costa County. While there's no launch date yet, residents may soon notice more Waymo cars mapping local streets as the company gradually prepares to roll out robotaxi service across the 925.
   

4. Views in the Valley: Conservancy announces nature photo contest winners (danvillesanramon.com) — A local photographer's image taken at Lake Isabel on a foggy San Ramon morning captured the Barry Zupan People's Choice Award in the Tri-Valley Conservancy's Views in the Valley contest. The annual competition showcases standout nature, agriculture, and open-space photos from around the region, with this year's winners highlighting both dramatic landscapes and local wildlife.
   

5. Pleasanton Preps: Tri-Valley Babe Ruth team reaches World Series final (danvillesanramon.com) — A mixed martial artist who grew up in San Ramon, Joe Kropschot, has earned a UFC contract after winning his bout on Dana White's Contender Series in Las Vegas. The wider Tri-Valley sports roundup also highlights a Babe Ruth World Series run, a Foothill golfer's deep U.S. Amateur showing, and youth basketball signups for Pleasanton and Sunol students.
