San Ramon Sees More Recent COVID-19 Cases Than Most Of County

San Ramon has seen more new COVID-19 cases in recent weeks than most other Contra Costa County communities.

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon has seen 182 COVID-19 cases diagnosed in the past 14 days, as of Wednesday. That's the eighth highest number of all 29 communities tracked by Contra Costa Health Services.

Two spots below San Ramon on that list is Danville, which has seen 166 new COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days. Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo urged residents on Tuesday to do their part to stop the spread of the coronavirus as COVID-19 cases in the town climb.

"Our new cases have increased almost seven-fold in the past month, and do not as yet include the potential impact from the long Thanksgiving weekend," Calabrigo wrote in a letter to the community sent Tuesday.
