Stalled Big-Rig, 2-Car Crash Snarled Traffic In San Ramon
Thursday motorists were met with congestion on two major roads during the evening commute.
SAN RAMON, CA — Two separate traffic incidents on two major thoroughfares in San Ramon caused major traffic congestion through the city early Thursday evening, according to the San Ramon Police Department.
A traffic collision between at least two vehicles occurred on eastbound Crow Canyon Road, just east of Interstate 680. A San Ramon police spokesperson at 6 p.m. advised motorists to avoid the area due to heavy congestion. The roadway reopened at about 6:30 p.m.
The second incident involved a stalled big rig on northbound San Ramon Valley Boulevard, just south of Bollinger Canyon Road.

The stall caused a major backup on San Ramon Valley Boulevard, police said, and drivers were told to avoid the area.
The boulevard was cleared at approximately 7:20 p.m., police said.
