Street Smarts Launches Traffic Safety Education Video Contest
Middle and high school students in San Ramon are asked to create a video educating their peers on traffic safety.
SAN RAMON, CA — Street Smarts, a traffic safety education program serving the San Ramon Valley, is launching its annual video contest for middle and high school students.
The “Be Reel” video contest offers students the opportunity to educate the community on traffic safety issues, following the theme “Be Safe, Alert, and Don’t Get Hurt.” Videos should be 40-60 seconds long, and feature students reflecting that theme. A maximum of three students in grades 6-12 are allowed to be included in each team and eligible for prizes.
Top video entries in each grade level will be awarded prizes in the following categories:

“Best Use of Special Effects/Animation”
“Best Plot/Storyline”
“Best Editing”
Winners will receive a $50 gift card, and the video will be posted online and presented at San Ramon Valley Elementary and Middle School Traffic Safety Education assemblies.
