Anonymous Donor Gives $1M To Dominican Hospital
The money will be given to Dignity Health Dominican Hospital employees.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — An anonymous Santa Cruz County resident and longtime benefactor of Dignity Health Dominican Hospital has donated $1 million to employees fighting the new coronavirus pandemic.
“To the heroes of Dominican Hospital: Thank you for standing up (and staying up!) to care for our community,” the donor said in a letter to employees. “This humankindness is what makes you heroic. Please accept this donation in recognition of and with great thanks for all that you do. And please know that my heart is with you as we seek to protect and care for each other during this challenging time.”
The donation was made to the Dominican Hospital Foundation and will be disbursed within the next month to employees who had worked an unspecified amount of hours prior to March 1, the hospital said in a news release.

This generous donation is a testament to their clinical excellence, their tireless dedication and, most of all, their profound humanity.”
