3. Santa Monica police set to patrol Metro E Line platforms under pending agreement (smdp.com) — Santa Monica residents could soon see local police patrolling all three Metro E Line stations in the city, with authority to ride trains, enforce fares, and respond to emergencies under a nearly finalized agreement. City leaders say the change aims to address quality-of-life and safety concerns at Downtown Santa Monica, 17th Street/SMC, and 26th Street/Bergamot, alongside new reinforced fare gates expected by mid-2027.
4.
