New Farmers Market In Santa Monica Helps Kids In Need
The market will be organized by Supporting Arms, a nonprofit that supports foster care, education and awareness of healthy eating habits.

SANTA MONICA, CA – Boston Properties’ Colorado Center is introducing a weekly farmers market starting this Thursday, Oct. 12 with the proceeds going towards children in need. Every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market will be open to tenants of the Colorado Center and the rest of the community. Organized by Supporting Arms, a nonprofit that supports foster care, education and awareness of healthy eating habits, a percentage of every sale and 100% of the net proceeds of hosting the market will go to fund the Supporting Arms mission, the press release said.
The market will feature fresh local produce, healthy prepared and prepackaged foods, and local crafts. You can find out more about Supporting Arms at www.supportingarms.org.
“This is a great opportunity for Boston Properties and the Colorado Center to provide a new amenity for our tenants and the community and, at the same time, help Supporting Arms in their work to provide crucial support for kids in need," Jon Lange, Vice President of the Los Angeles Region for Boston Properties, said. "It is the start to what we hope will be a very long-term relationship with Supporting Arms, and we are excited to see everyone come out, enjoy the market, and support this wonderful cause.”
