SB 79 spurs 12-story proposal from Bruce Adler (therealdeal.com) — A 12-story, 32-unit apartment building is being proposed at 1517 15th Street under California's new SB 79 rules, signaling much taller housing near the 17th Street/Santa Monica College E Line stop. The project, which includes income-restricted units and no on-site parking, joins several other affordable and transit-oriented developments as Santa Monica works toward planning nearly 8,900 new homes by 2031.
