Vermin infestation, no hot water, sewage discharge are among the list of reasons why restaurants are closed by the Los Angeles County Health Department. And don’t think it’s only somewhere else this happens. Included in the list are eateries in Los Angeles, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Marina Del Rey, Century City, Beverly Hills, Mar Vista, Palos Verdes and many more.

Most restaurants that are closed for critical violations reopen within a few days after correcting the problem that forced the closure. But beyond major violations that force immediate closure are minor infractions that produce unsanitary conditions which could lead to outbreaks of foodborne or viral illnesses.
