Santa Monica Gelson's Hosts 'Forgotten Dog' Adoption Event
To help dogs find forever homes, a local grocer will host a Santa Monica based adoption foundation for one day this month.
SANTA MONICA, CA — A local grocery store in Santa Monica is hosting an event to help dogs find forever homes.
Gelson's grocery is hosting a free pet adoption event across nine of its Southern California locations, including the store in Santa Monica, on Saturday.
The store, located at 2627 Lincoln Boulevard, is hosting the Santa Monica-based nonprofit shelter The Forgotten Dog Foundation. On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the foundation will bring dogs that need homes to the store for shoppers to meet.

"Gelson’s loves animals and we work with nearly a dozen of pet rescue groups throughout various store locations," the store wrote in a release. "If you have the interest to adopt and add a furry member to the family, please come out!"
The Forgotten Dog Foundation rescues, rehabilitates and rehouse dogs that have been found on the streets of Los Angeles. Learn more about the nonprofit shelter here.
