3 Men Arrested For Vandalizing 4 Vehicles In Santee

Police said four vehicles were damaged. Three men were arrested on charges of felony vehicle vandalism and conspiracy.

SANTEE, CA – Three men were arrested after allegedly vandalizing vehicles Wednesday night in Santee, police said.

A woman reported hearing windows breaking and car alarms going off just after 11 p.m. outside her home in the 9300 block of Carlton Oaks Drive. According to Sgt. Kristin Brayman of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the woman went outside and witnessed people in a white older model Ford Explorer throwing rocks or using some sort of weapon to hit vehicles parked on the street.

A deputy stopped the vehicle on Palm Glen Drive and Cottonwood Avenue and discovered three adult men and weapons inside the Explorer, Brayman said.

Brayman said all three men were arrested on charges of felony vehicle vandalism and conspiracy. One of the men was also charged with possession of metal knuckles.

Police said four vehicles were damaged. Officials believe the same Explorer was involved in a series of vandalized vehicles about two weeks ago on Buena Vista Avenue in Santee.

Detectives from the Santee Station are investigating the incident.
