Identity Theft Suspects Spend $1,600 In Stolen Credit In San Diego

Investigators with the Santee Sheriff's Station​ are searching for two men who used stollen credit at several stores.

SANTEE, CA – Investigators with the Santee Sheriff's Station are searching for two men who used stollen credit to make about $1,600 in unauthorized purchases from several stores.

The suspects used the victim's credit card number June 20 on a shopping spree at the Best Buy in Mira Mesa and multiple stores at the Las Americas Outlet Mall in San Ysidro, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Santee Sheriff's Station investigators said the victim never lost his credit card and isn't sure how his information was stolen.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old with short black hair and a full beard. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, gray and white striped shorts, and white shoes.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old with black hair in a military-style haircut. He was last seen wearing a white collared shirt, gray shorts, gray shoes. He possibly had tattoos on his left arm.

Anyone with information about this case or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tips may be submitted anonymously, and callers may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
