• Sausalito city manager pleads not guilty in criminal case (pressdemocrat.com) — Sausalito’s city manager, Elaine Forbes, has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges and is seeking entry into Marin County’s mental health diversion program, which could ultimately lead to dismissal of the case. She remains on a leave of absence while Assistant City Manager Brandon Phipps serves as acting city manager and former manager Chris Zapata advises the city. The court set deadlines this fall and a February hearing to determine next steps.
