Officers issued more than 100 citations and warnings for speeding, loud exhausts, e‑bike violations, and license issues, with one DUI and firearm arrest. The operation signals continued strict enforcement on Pacific Coast Highway and nearby corridors. 
• 'Pretty epic' Kelvin wave is latest threat to SoCal coastal cities. How soon, and how bad? (latimes.com subscription) — Seal Beach is part of a stretch of coast where officials are already planning sand replenishment projects as powerful Kelvin waves and El Niño-driven swells threaten more flooding and erosion. Emergency declarations in nearby cities and damaged rail lines in San Clemente highlight how vulnerable the shoreline is. Expect several more inches of sea level rise and months of elevated risk starting in early October.
