Another Burst Water Main Floods Sherman Oaks Roadway

A broken water main is causing flooding in Sherman Oaks for the second time this week.

A broken water main is causing street flooding in the 4300 block of Allott Avenue in Sherman Oaks, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Department of Water and Power personnel are on scene. The break was reported to the fire department at 3:16 p.m.

It’s the second time this week that a burst water main has disrupted the lives of Sherman Oaks residents.

On Monday, Floodwaters from a broken 8-inch main threatened underground parking structures while buckling pavement on Woodman Avenue and knocking out service to as many as 900 apartments or townhomes, authorities said.
