Sherman Oaks Carjacking Turns into Violent Home Invasion
Two men, who allegedly carjacked a man and forced him to drive home where they robbed him, were arrested after a brief manhunt.

SHERMAN OAKS, CA -- Two men were arrested Saturday in Sherman Oaks, suspected of carjacking a man, burglarizing his home, hitting him in the head and fleeing in his car with him inside, according to authorities.
The incident reportedly began about 12:20 p.m. when the victim was leaving a barbershop around Fulton Avenue and Moorpark Street, according to Sgt. E. Swihart of the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Station.
Three suspects reportedly forced the man to drive them to his home in the 15400 block of Vista Haven Place, Swihart said.

The suspects allegedly took property from the home, including the victim's car, and were traced to the area of Ventura Boulevard and Kester Avenue where they abandoned the car with the owner tied inside with zip lines, the sergeant said. A perimeter was set up, Lopez said.
The victim was freed from his restraints by a citizen, according to a sergeant at the scene.

Two of suspects were caught at about 2:30 p.m., Swihart said.
Some property was returned to the victim, he said.
Detectives were following leads to the third suspect, Swihart said.
