BREAKING: A Napa woman used a lunchbox in the heist and a Vallejo man acted as the getaway driver, sheriff's officials allege.

SONOMA and NAPA COUNTIES — A Napa woman and a Vallejo man were arrested on suspicion of committing a bank robbery Saturday in Sonoma in which she allegedly used a lunchbox and he reportedly acted as the getaway driver, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said Monday. Officials allege 34-year-old Napa resident Catrina Rose Hockney and 45-year-old Vallejo resident Miguel Angel Maravilla robbed the Wells Fargo branch at W. Napa and 5th West at about 2 p.m. Saturday.

"Deputies were aware of the potential suspects due to an investigation from the Napa Police Department," said Sonoma County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Spencer Crum. "A flier had been issued earlier in the day detailing that the suspects ... Both were listed as subjects of interest in numerous attempted robberies in Napa. A description of their vehicle, a 2007 Tan Chevrolet pickup had also been listed in the flier."

The spokesman said as deputies received a call about the Sonoma robbery they saw a truck fitting that description pulling away from the bank branch. The deputies proceeded to stop the truck at W. Napa and 3rd West and were able to detain Hockney and Maravilla without incident, Crum said.

"At the time of traffic stop, Hockney was lying down in the back seat attempting to change her clothes," Crum said. "After her arrest, deputies found a large amount of cash on Hockney."

Based on statements from employees at the Wells Fargo branch, sheriff's investigators allege Hockney carried a lunchbox into the bank, placed the lunchbox on the counter and pulled out a note indicating "this was a robbery and she wanted all the large bills," Crum said.

The teller complied with the alleged order, giving a female suspect fitting Hockney's description an undisclosed amount of cash, the sergeant said.

Bank video surveillance of the incident "confirmed that Hockney was the suspect," Crum said.

Both Hockney and Maravilla were arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. They were booked into Sonoma County jail, where they remained Monday with bail set at $500,000, according to Crum.
