The Sonoma County Department of Health Services (DHS) has identified a second case of coronavirus without any connection to recent travel. This confirmation indicates an additional case of community spread. DHS has contacted the infected person and asked them to self-quarantine.
Sonoma County Health officials on Saturday, March 14, 2020 reported the first confirmed case of community spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the County.
Sonoma County has three additional local cases of coronavirus, all with connections to international cruise ship travel.
This is a developing situation and Sonoma County will be releasing more information as it becomes available. The County expects more confirmed cases of community transmission and will in the future report them at
