Average Commute Time in Sonoma Less Than 30 Minutes
But where you live in Sonoma Valley can make a big difference, according to a radio station in New York that used the U.S. Census to create an interactive map tracking commutes around the country

The average commuter in Sonoma spends just 25.2 minutes driving each way between home and work every day, according to the above interactive map designed by the WNYC radio station.
Of course most people in Sonoma Valley would just as soon stay here, and the idea of a "commute" is anathema to many.
The WNYC map shows how one-way commute times can vary substantially depending on which end of the Valley you live in. In Kenwood, average commute time is under 20 minutes -18.8 minutes. From Glen Ellen, the time jumps to almost 35 minutes.

Census figures show that about 8.1 percent of U.S. workers have commutes that are one hour or longer and nearly 600,000 full-time workers had "megacommutes" of at least 90 minutes and 50 miles.
