Big-Rigs Collision Shuts Down Lakeville Highway

A collision involving two big-rigs east of Petaluma closed Lakeville Highway on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lakeville Highway shut down between Cannon Lane and state Highway 37 following the crash. One of the big-rigs is equipped with a crane and neither big-rig was drivable, CHP officials said.

The collision was reported around 6:30 a.m. and a Sig-alert was issued at 6:53 a.m.

The crash backed up traffic to the Petaluma city limits, according to the CHP.
