Bouverie Preserve hosts 'Earth to Art' naturalist program

Learn how to make non-toxic paint from soil and other natural materials in this half-day class.

Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), a North Bay leader in conservation science, habitat protection and restoration and nature education, will host a Fall Backyard Naturalist Program titled “Earth to Art with Ane Carla Rovetta!” on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its 535-acre Bouverie Preserve in Glen Ellen.

Combine the wonderful soils of our California terrain with historic recipes from Europe and rural America and you get a nontoxic paint of beautiful harmony. Ane will share her recipes so you can make, experiment with and take home your own paints. Bring two or three leak-proof containers for the paints, as well as pencils, a notebook and a sketchbook or paint journal. Other supplies will be provided.

Cost is $55 ($40 for ACR members at Sponsor-level or above).
