 Donahower received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of 
California at Santa Barbara in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Ceramics,
 Printmaking and Pastels. She has been teaching art to adults and 
children for 40 years and it is her passion to empower budding artists 
with the basic foundation skills in art and help them bloom into their 
own creativity and personal style. Deborah’s teaching style is 
structured and starts with building a strong foundation around the 
fundamentals of clay.

Jack London State Historic Park

On Saturdays from Sept. 5 to Oct. 3, Jack London State Historic Park’s WILD Trail Challenge returns for a third year.This series of five hikes covers every trail in the park for a total of 39.5 miles.The hikes increase in duration and/or difficulty each week.Participants can sign up for individual hikes or do them all.
The price for each hike is $15.The park entry fee of $15 per vehicle is waived for these hikes.Those who sign up for all five hikes before Sept. 5 save 20 percent and pay only $60.
Hike # 1 – Historic Trails
September 5, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 
A great way to warm up. This hike explores the historic sites and trails of the park. Navigate both sides of the park to discover Jack London’s Beauty Ranch, London Lake, and the Wolf House ruins. 
Easy – moderate hike (approximately 4.5 miles roundtrip)
Hike # 2 – Ancient Redwood
September 12, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 
Meander through the redwoods and sunny oak woodlands of the park’s three Bridge Trails (Upper, Lower, and Fallen). The journey leads to the majestic ancient redwood, fondly known as the Grandmother Tree.
Moderate hike (approximately 6 miles roundtrip)
Hike # 3 – Historic Orchard
September 19, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. 
Start Location: Note that this hike does not begin at Jack London State Historic Park

Arnold Dr, Eldridge, CA 95431
Stroll along the blue shores of Fern Lake before reaching the Historic Orchard. Learn about the history of the land and the fascinating fruit-bearing crops that thrive there. 
Moderate – Difficult hike (approximately 7 miles roundtrip)
Hike # 4 – Ridge
September 26, 9 a.m-3:30 p.m. 
Details: Hikers will gain elevation and an appreciation for the diverse habitats found within the park. They’ll also traverse part of the ever-growing Bay Area Ridge Trail. 
Difficult hike (approximately 12 miles roundtrip)
Hike # 5 – Summit
October 3, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. 
A trek to the park summit is the perfect way to complete the WILD Trail Challenges.Climb Sonoma Mountain to enjoy stunning views, celebrate with fellow hikers, and become a WILD One.

Harvest Time Barn Sale Event: Saturday 9/26 from 9am until 1pm.

Presented in partnership with the Sonoma Community Center, participants will explore both watercolor technique and the core principles of landscape painting, including composition, color temperature, and atmospheric perspective. Artist Hannah Day will guide participtants to create movement and depth in a painting and gain a new appreciation for the beauty of the surroundings through the process of close observation and careful rendering.
The class begins with quick thumbnail sketches, then each person selects one composition to focus on throughout the day. Through demonstration and individual instruction, they learn color mixing and watercolor techniques while building their painting step by step.All levels of experience are welcome.

 artist and educator, Valerie Seaberg for a two-day immersive 
lantern-building workshop inspired by Día de los Muertos, ancestral 
remembrance, and joy of creating in community. Together we will create 
illuminated lantern sculptures that honor loved ones, celebrate lineage 
from all cultures and traditions, and welcome the deepening beauty of 
fall and winter. Using willow, bamboo, reed, paper, and other 
sustainable materials, participants will learn how to build expressive 
sculptural lanterns from the inside out. Participants are encouraged to 
bring ideas, sketches, photographs, symbols, or meaningful inspiration 
connected to ancestors, memory, nature, or personal vision. Lanterns may
 be abstract, playful, elegant, symbolic, animal-inspired, or devotional
 in form. This workshop is open to beginners as well as 
experienced makers.Together we will create a celebration of light 
honoring those who came before us and illuminating the path forward.

Come treasure hunting in Downtown Petaluma as more than 200 antique and vintage dealers take over the streets for one of the city’s favorite annual traditions.
Explore everything from estate jewelry, furniture, art and collectibles to vintage clothing, home décor, books, retro finds and plenty of surprises along the way.
The Faire fills Fourth and Kentucky Streets between B Street and Washington Street, along with the A Street Parking Lot and Western Avenue.
Start the morning with the Petaluma Masons’ traditional pancake breakfast at the Masonic Lodge, 9 Western Avenue, from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, then spend the day browsing, eating, shopping and exploring downtown.
Free admission and free parking.
Proceeds support the Petaluma Downtown Association and help fund future downtown events and programs.
