HOT FUN IN THE SUMMERTIME AT THE MEADOWCROFT WINE & FOOD PAIRING FOR JUNE
SONOMA, CA.—Meadowcroft Wines (www.meadowcroftwines.com) is getting ready to welcome summer with a scrumptious Summertime In Wine Country Wine & Food wine pairing set for Saturday, June 11 in the tasting room with seatings at 12 Noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The cost for this special event is $25 per person. The Meadowcroft tasting room is located at 23574 Arnold Drive/Hwy 121 in the Cornerstone Sonoma (www.cornerstonesonoma.com) community. Reservations are recommended by calling 707/934-4090.

If you have a case of “Summertime Blues” (Eddie Cochran) or if you just don’t enjoy “Summer In The City” (Lovin’ Spoonful) and you are looking for some “Hot Fun In The Summertime” (Sly & The Family Stone) with a very cool “Summer Wind” (Frank Sinatra) or just a “Summer Breeze” (Seals & Croft) without the threat of a “Summer Rain” (Johnny Rivers) or if you just want to shout out “Summertime” (Billie Holiday), come out to Meadowcroft Wines where we will get you “In The Summertime” (Mungo Jerry) mood.
Specially prepared by our Chef-in-residence Darby Tarantino, the menu features a Spiced Watermelon and Summer Vegetable Salad with honey citrus vinaigrette paired with our 2010 Meadowcroft Riesling. Next is Mike Anderson’s Louisiana-style Cole Slaw paired with the 2009 Thomas Henry Chardonnay to be followed by Slow Cooked Pulled Port Sliders with Syrah spiked BBQ Sauce and the 2007 Meadowcroft Syrah. The menu finishes with Caramelized Pear Short Cakes with Meyer Lemon Cream and the 2010 Thomas Henry Riesling.
Chef Darby is a graduate of the Ballymaloe Cookery School (www.cookingisfun.ie) in County Cork, Ireland. The school is the only one in the world set in the middle of its own 100 acre organic farm.
The Meadowcroft Wines tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The venue is available for private parties, private tastings, wine dinners and other events.
