It hasn’t happened in about 30 years, and won’t happen gain for some 20 years. We’re talking about the amazing convergence of the Super Moon/Harvest Moon, Eclipse/Blood Moon that happened Sunday evening.

Clouds skittered about the Bay Area, alternately blocking the view for residents. Did you see it?

Professional photographer Al Francis caught its glory over, fittingly, Valley of the Moon. He wrote:

This photo was taken in southern Sonoma county home of the Valley of the Moon looking eastward of the #LunarEclipse combined with a Super Moon Sunday night. The photo is looking eastward from Sears Point. Lights at bottom of the photo are of car headlights and tail lights streaking past the camera during a long exposure. The next time the combination of a Lunar eclipse and \super moon happen again is in 2033.

Thank you, Al. We repeat, breathtaking.
