Man Killed in Logging Accident ID'd as Alan Eugene Mohr

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man who died during a logging incident Wednesday afternoon near Healdsburg as 61-year-old Alan Eugene Mohr of Point Arena in Mendocino County.

The logging accident happened on Mill Creek Road in the Dry Creek area outside Healdsburg, sheriff’s Sgt. Cecile Focha said.

The death is considered a workplace incident, and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is investigating the death, Focha said.

Officials with the Healdsburg Fire Department, which responded to the incident, and Cal/OSHA did not return calls for more information Thursday morning.
