Napa Valley Film Festival Seeks Volunteers

Plus, passes are on sale at 10 percent off to Napa and Sonoma county residents.

The Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) is looking for volunteers to help produce the widely anticipated fourth event November 12 - 16.

This five-day celebration, held in the walk-able festival villages of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga, will feature over 125 new independent films and studio sneak previews, Q&As with the filmmakers, interactive panel discussions, wine tasting pavilions, culinary demonstrations, Opening and Closing Night festivities, the renowned Festival Gala, late night lounges, special events, VIP receptions and Dinners and more.

Over 500 volunteers made the festival come alive in 2013; NVFF organizers expect to need over 600 people this year, a team comprised of veteran and new festival volunteers.

Volunteers interested in helping the NVFF can choose to join the following Volunteer Teams: Film Screening Venues, Special Events, Customer Service, Food and Beverage, Security, Transportation (Drivers), VIP Hospitality (Filmmakers, Sponsors, NVFF Patrons), Village (Welcome) Centers, LifeStyle Pavilion, Culinary Demonstration Stage, Wine Tasting Pavilions, VIP Lounges, Operations, Technical/Projection, and Print Traffic. Perks include movie vouchers in return for shifts worked; a Volunteer Rally and Movie on November 10; a thank you party, dinner and film screening on November 17; and a souvenir T-shirt. NVFF Pre-Festival Volunteers

Since NVFF is a year round operation, volunteers are encouraged to help all throughout the year. Volunteer jobs include in-office assistance or on the Street Team, the group responsible for representing NVFF at events throughout the Bay Area, as well as distributing collateral, posters and programs. Volunteer hours are extremely flexible, and participants can earn festival passes based on the number of hours worked.

NVFF Internship Program

NVFF offers internships for those interested in film and entertainment. Internships are available in a diverse range of departments including: Filmmaker Hospitality, Marketing, Programming, Operations, and Administration. Participants gain valuable career-building experience, and can earn school credit, letters of recommendation, and festival passes.
