Red Flag Warning Issued For Napa, Sonoma Counties
Forecast officials warn of "critical fire weather conditions" throughout the North Bay.

NAPA and SONOMA COUNTIES, CA – A red flag warning is in effect in Napa, Sonoma and Marin counties through Thursday at 5 p.m. due to hot, dry and windy conditions expected in the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The most hazardous conditions in the San Francisco Bay Area are expected to be in the North Bay mountains, as well as the East Bay hills, Diablo Range and the Santa Cruz Mountains, according to the weather service. A red flag warning is issued when a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fires.
Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly, and residents are urged to refrain from any outdoor burning, officials said.
