Santa Rosa Pharmacy Robbery Suspect Found Shot In Home: Police
BREAKING: The suspect was found suffering from a gunshot wound but was still breathing, police said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A man suspected of robbing a Walgreens store early Saturday morning in Santa Rosa was found Tuesday with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home where police were serving a warrant. At about 4 a.m. Saturday, a man carrying a long, black gun entered the store at 4610 state Highway 12. He allegedly stole prescription medications and then fled the store, police said.
No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
At 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, police received information from a source who said they knew the identity of the robbery suspect.

Police detectives and SWAT and hostage negotiation teams served a search warrant at the suspect's home in the 4100 block of Charmian Drive.
According to police, negotiators tried to contact the suspect using a loud speaker, but did not receive a response. That's when they deployed a tactical robot to check the residence.

A search of the home uncovered a person down on the ground inside a bedroom. It appeared that he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, but was still breathing, police said.
The person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said they do not know when he was wounded.
According to police, several items were seized from the home, including multiple firearms.
The case remains under investigation and Santa Rosa police are asking anyone with information to call them at 707-543-3590. Callers can remain anonymous.
