Crash Causes Santa Rosa Power Outage, Closes Road
The outage started at about 7:10 a.m. Monday near the site of a crash on Brush Creek Road, according to reports from police and PG&E.

SANTA ROSA, CA — UPDATE 8:13 a.m. Jan. 22: An outage affecting some 728 customers Monday morning in east Santa Rosa was reportedly caused by a traffic collision. Santa Rosa police sent an alert just before 7:30 a.m. advising motorists to avoid Brush Creek Road north of Montecito and Fountaingrove because of a crash on Brush Creek.
According to police, both north- and southbound lanes of Brush Creek Road were closed between Montecito/Fountaingrove and Badger Road.
"It will require a detour of traffic for the next several hours," police said. "Downed PG&E lines are involved in this collision. Please use Middle Rincon Road for north and southbound travel Highway 12. Vehicles will not be allowed access on Brush Creek."

ORIGINAL POST: Pacific Gas & Electric reported on its outage map that more 728 customers in Santa Rosa were without power this morning. The outage started around 7:10 a.m. Monday and was affecting customers in east Santa Rosa, south of Mark West Springs.
PG&E estimated the power would be restored by about 10:15 a.m. The cause of the power outage was being investigated.
